Rusty is officially accepted in ThunderClan as he wins his first fight and, during the battle, looses his last tie to being a kittypet - his collar. Rusty buries his collar, and gets his apprentice name, Firepaw. Bluestar, the leader of ThunderClan, named him Firepaw as she hoped he would be the fire that would save her Clan, and because his pelt has the color of fire.
