Personality and Lore
Gerard grew up in the outskirts of Paledon, near the city walls. His hectic home life with five siblings and hands-off parents shaped him to be quiet and indifferent with most of the ponies he meets. He was accepted into a prestige Arcane school later on in his life where he learned to harness his magic, as well as study to become a grandmaster of Arcane magic, his lifelong dream.
Gerard unfortunately lacks in a lot of social skills, in most cases he's unable to read the room and might come off as a know-it-all. The unicorn tries his best to fit in with normal life, but has found that living in solitary has benefitted him more.
Familiar
His familiar is a piebald ball python by the name of Phantom. She became his familiar when Gerard was only ten, almost walking over the small snake at a nearby clearing. Gerard still isn't sure how she got there, as Paledon isn't the natural habitat of one. But is still content with having her by his side.
Other
The scars on his body are caused by training in Arcane magic.
