Grows up as the Prince and heir of the 'Alpha' title.
He learns how to fight and makes a friend, Amber, who is training to become part of the royal guard.
After he grows out of his puppy years, Lunar begins challenging wolves to earn his Prince rank. (Even though he has the title of "Prince" he must prove himself worthy of it to the other wolves by demonstrating his strength.)
Lunar grows away from Amber as he spends less and less time training alongside the guards and more time in combat.
His mother, the Queen, continuously pressures Lunar to do better, leaving him with almost no free time.
After building a decent reputation, Lunar meets a half-breed, Ace.
The two begin meeting in secret, but when the Queen finds out she is furious and orders Lunar to stay away from Ace.
Lunar refuses, as he is beginning to realize what he has been missing out on his whole life; freedom. (And perhaps a little romance?)
