What are Venteli?

Venteli are large, vaguely doglike creatures that are always followed by floating spines. They usually grow to the size of a bigcat by adulthood. Their spines are much like a lionfish's, and are sharp, but bendable. These spines grant Venteli their magic, and allow them to levitate off the ground. The amount of spines indicate how rare the creature is, and how far it can levitate, and glow. Every spine is connected to the Venteli's spirit, and will always return even if pulled away from the owner. The only way to keep them from returning is destroying them, and losing the Venteli's magic.

Traits

Venteli's spine count indicates their rarity. If you Venteli has 4 spines, they can only have common edits. If they have 5, they can only have uncommon and below. This goes on for the rest of the rarities.

No more than 4 spines can hover around a Venteli's head. If your Venteli has more than 4, they will be somewhere around the body.

Required traits: 4 spines , claws , pawpads, glow ability (spines, pawpads, eyes)

Common traits: 4 spines , different spine shape , hair , tail shape change , claw length edit , fur edit (long or short) , teeth edit , ear edit , tongue edit , pawpads edit , glowing markings , levitating item (1)

Uncommon traits: 5 spines , one set of horns (small) , head halo (one) , multi tails (up to 3) , sclera edit , levitating items (2)

Rare traits: 6 spines , one set of horns (large) , small wings , munchkinism , goop , body halo (one) , multi tails (up to 5) , scales , fully white/black eyes , extra body part (legs, ears, eyes) , levitating items (3)

Unreal traits: 8 spines , more than one set of horns (any size) , horns on body , large wings , gigantism , melanism , albinism , body halo (multiple) , multi tails (up to 9) , elemental abilities , multi wings (up to 4) , different pupil shape , levitating items (4) , gene spliced body parts

Unrealistic traits (banned): no claws , no spines , no pawpads , multi headed

Non-rarity traits: accessories , scars , missing limbs , weight edit , expression , eye shape change , heterochromia

♦ This species will have partly competitions, partly auctions/otas/flatsales.
The amount of each will be split so there's equal opportunity to get a Venteli free and for c$.

♦ Be open to sending suggestions for the species!
I enjoy getting ideas from the community.

♦ You are allowed to resell a Venteli only if bought or have had monetary value added on (art).
If you buy a Venteli through myo ticket purchase, c$ auction, ota, etc, you can resell it for that same value, and add on the value of addons like any art you have bought. The way the Venteli is obtained will be kept in the archive, so if you try to sell a Venteli you did not buy with c$ with no extra art and proof of that art's purchase, it will not be viable for selling.
Gifting is allowed.

Rules

♦ Begging/rudeness/causing issues will not be tolerated.
Things like begging for adopts, guilt tripping, intentionally causing issues, etc are not accepted here and will result in a strike or ban depending on the severity of the action.

♦ Don't steal/copy/trace designs
That's a basic thing, it explains itself.

♦ Venteli can only be transferred out with permission of the artist.
When transferring, contact a moderator and show proof of artist permission, then you can do whatever you'd like. If you'd like to transfer in a design, visit the MYO/Customs page for more info.

♦ Please don't minimod.
We have mods, contact them or the owner if you have any troubles.

Staff Guide

♦ Artist activity
To be counted as active and receive awards, artists should make at least 2 adopts a month. One adopt must be free, the other can be for monetary gain. If an artist does not make any adopts for up to 2 months without notification, they will be placed on a ghost status until return.

♦ Artist rarity guide
An artist can make a Venteli with up to rare traits regularly. Every 6 adopts with up to rare traits there can be one with any unreal traits. This rule does not apply to special number or event adopts, which will be discussed by staff.

♦ Moderator activity
Moderators must be active in/around the community, if that means checking in or just talking in the (coming) discord, it will count. Activity will be discussed by the owner and rest of the staff.

♦ Staff rewards
Artists will receive a 5 spine (UC) myo ticket for making their 2 adopts for the month. If they make 5 adopts, they will receive a 6 spine (rare) myo ticket. If they make 8 they will receive a 8 spine (unreal) myo ticket.
Moderators will receive a 5 spine (UC) myo ticket for being active for the month. If they're very active, they will receive a 6 spine (rare) myo ticket. If they express above and beyond behavior in the community, they will receive an 8 spine (unreal) myo ticket.
