why the locks?
the locks are due to an increase of mods locking posts that have off oekaki art in the comments.
this could be a full drawing, though locked b/c the rest isn't on oekaki. it could be hours or minutes of effort put into a fully colored drawing, but due to it having off oekaki it was locked.
locks you cannot remove from your art after getting them beside asking the mods in a help ticket.
we want to rewrite these rules and systems so it works for us, and things stop being unfairly locked

That's when the mods lock the post. Recently there was been quite a bit of locking on oekaki covers, when mods said it was alright, from what I recall. When the post is locked, it cannot be edited or commented on. And then a giant red lock infamously is slapped on there.
