Mystic Waterway

Postby ∘Raven∘ » Sun Sep 27, 2020 2:59 pm

I have been terribly discouraged with art lately, and struggling, to find any value in my drawing. I'm terrible about needing to know people like what I do, and when I get no reactions, I let things get to me when I shouldn't. So I am going to work to pull myself together, and try to find value in art for myself.

This is absolutely stunning. I really like how the shapes and brighter colors drawn attention to the center, and the sparkly water texture is nice to look at.

My tip for you is to try to only draw for yourself. You’ll find so much more joy in art if you teach yourself that your approval is the most important. Your work is already great, and others will always appreciate it too.

This is absolutely stunning! I love the way you painted the sky, it reminds me of early mornings after an evening storm has passed. The way you draw water is also gorgeous and very eye catching ♡

That’s really good advice, I’m trying really hard to not expect anything from y art besides merely enjoying the process, I’m really bad about this in real life with my art classes! I appreciate your comment of advice.

I wasn’t sure if my intent was a storm coming in or going out, thank you so very much!!! Water is something I’ve only recently started doing and it’s quite a challenge so I’m glad you like it!
