Northern Norbreds are a new breed of horse, recently discovered due to an accidental crossing. When further additions were made, the breed exhibited a plethora of unique traits. These tall, flashy sport horses were produced using Noriker,Thoroughbred,Fjord,and Zebra genes.Norbreds have been known to have an occasional Roman nose,or Zebra features. They have thin coats to keep cool, and aid in their stamina and endurance. Norbreds have long, thick legs- which carry a larger stride and provide powerful jumps. Norbred's can be found in a wide array of colors, including solids and full leopards and everything in between. Most all Norbreds carry a stripe gene thanks to their zebra ancestry, and can display any number of stripe combinations. While it does occur, it is rare that Nordbreds show no stripes. However, these Norbreds do carry this gene and will likely produce stripped offspring. Norbreds range in height, between 16hh-24hh, though we are unaware as to why their height has reached such great lengths.
Despite their large size, Norbreds are extremely flighty and require daily work to encourage bravery. They are unusually unsocial, but can and do form close bonds to small herds and their handlers. Stallions are extremely territorial,though they rarely resort to violence. Norbreds have been overlooked by many people due to their odd coats and shy behaviors, but these horses are continuing to prove themselves not only in the competition rings, but also on the farm. They are dedicated, hard workers, and loyal to a fault.
Foals tend to be on the fiestier side, and also tend to be furrier than the adults, often sporting little beards. This sheds as they age,though some adults retain their beards. Shedding often results in a slight appearance change in their coat. Foals tend to be a little more dull,though this isn't always the case, and will often not reveal their true stripes until they've reached their second year. An adult matures at age three.

- Most all Norbred's have a pattern . Solid coats aren't as common, but occur. Chimera is fairly uncommon, but can also occur. Some coat colors are more rare than others. Appaloosa coats can show, as well as a variety of genes. It is extremely rare to have a solid black, or white Norbred.
Norbreds may have any stripe combination on their coats, and some combinations will affect the looks of overall stripes.

Interrupted(any natural color, can be dotted, incomplete or non-consecutive stripes)
Stripe less (No visible stripes, will produce stripped offspring)
Marking-Phobic(MP)- Stripes that won't go onto any white markings. Paint, appy, etc.
