When he was very young he had been taken away from his mother, he was to young and couldn't survive. So the new owner who was a farmers wife, had to take him to the vets to nurse him back to health. Oh how the owners loved him! They already couldn't live without him. Luckly the young kit survived and the farmers took him home right away to spend time with their healthy cat. They had lived on a farm so they had him to chase all the mice. He was a very unusual cat to have blue colors on him so they had named him Blue. Oh, Blue loved living on the farm, chasing mice, getting milk straight from the cow, and most of all playing in the hay stacks. It was always fun living on the farm.
But one day they were running low on money and had to sell some things to save the farm. So they had to sell three pigs, one cow, and four chickens. They still had few money. And the owners were forced to give Blue to the Pound.
Blue was on his way to the Pound and he was stuck in a cage. Blue thought he was going to the vets again because that was the only other place he had gone besides the farm. Just then Blue saw ribbon tied on the cage door. That was his way out, he just didn't know it. So like any other cat Blue started to play and chew on the ribbon. Soon the door became loose and opened. Blue was trying to stay in but fell out of the cage door. But Blue was on the far side of the truck so when he fell, he landed in a bush and was not injured. He desided to stay there that night since it was dark out.
The next day Blue woke up to see a man with a net. Soon blue had be put into yet another truck in another crate. But this time there was no way out. He was on his way to the Pound, again. He missed the farm, chasing mice, getting milk from the cow, playing in the hay stacks, and most of all his owners. But now he knew he was never going to see them again. This was a little much for a little kit to think about.
Soon the truck came to a stop. A man came and took him and his crate in a a large house. The first thing he heard was dogs whinning and cats crying to get out. "Where am I?", Blue thought. He wanted to get out of here, and quick. But sadly it was to late and he was already in yet another cage. Again there was no way out.
It has been many days since he was put in that cage. Blue thought he was going to starve again becase he was so hungy. He was in bad need of water too. The people there never gave him attention. But Blue had no idea he was going to be put down in to days.
The next day would have been his last. But only if it weren't for Dr. Sprit(emiundead), a woman who used to be a vet but now owns " Sprit's No Kill Shelter"(Adopt A Kitty Shelter). And she was looking for some animals for her shelter to live and not die. The manager of the "Kill Pound", as the other animals called, showed Dr. Sprit some of the animals. But when she saw Blue she knew he would never get adopted because of his awkword colors and shades, so she knew he would die here soon. So she took him in along with some other animals.
There they treated Blue very very good at "Sprits No Kill Shelter". His crate was huge and they gave him food and water every day. Every day they also gave him medication to help him feel better becausse of the Kill Shelter. Often, random people came in to the house and Dr. Sprits would put him in a pen and every time he was put in a pen, there would be one to five other cats with him. At the end one cat will leave our the doors to a happy new home! But sadly it was never Blue, because every person that saw him thought he was sick and wouldn't pick him!
One day, a girl named Katie(me) came in to adopt a cat. Blue was put in the pen with three others. When Katie saw Blue, she was in love. So as Katie was filling out the form, Dr. Sprit put him in a crate with water, food, and a few toys to entertain Blue on the ride. Soon Katie picked up the crate and was on her way home with Blue! Blue was so happy to have a new home.
Although Katie owned no barn, just a ordinary house, Blue was happy. Blue became am indoor cat and had yearly check ups! Katie's first cat was outdoor and accidently got hit by a car and passed away, so that is why she kept Blue indoors. She thought Blue was special and she didn't want anything to happen to him!
