Essentially what I did for this was:
color pick the pink color
copy the color layer
lock alpha the color layer and color it the pink
Set to multiply
Erase where the light hits
Create a new layer with multiply and color in more shading
(Note: don’t mix shading and line styles!! If you use a pixel brush for lining, use a pixel brush for shading and don’t blend it or else it’ll look weird unless the blend is also pixelated)

It helps to draw the light source sometimes, though tbh I don’t know how lighting works all that well so I usually just wing it

As for the feet uh,, think like an L but it has really rounded edges
With your style you could probably just draw 2 lines at the end of the nubs and call it a day tbh
