First off I wanted to thank EVERYONE who entered. I was not expecting many people to, and those who did blew me away with their creativity in art and writing!
Secondly, I couldn't choose between winners, and that is why we have two first place and two second place winners.
First Place
belongs to both Skygold and ZebraPajama
You two made characters I knew I couldn't live without, with such descriptive stories it left me excited to write more for them, and perhaps together with these two.
Skygold, Erik is an amazing creature and?? I'm so freaking blessed to have had you enter, I love your work and when I saw your entry--i flipped <3
ZebraPajama, Golly you had me enraptured wholly with this beautiful boy,, his crystalline curse and his will to protect people from the thing that caught him was magical.
Second Place
belongs to both Bluekittyhorse and Bluewingz.
Bluewingz,, you being the first entrant, had me going from the starting piece. As I had commented you just kept adding more appealing things to your design, and the extra art piece just,, really made me excited.
BlueKittyHorse, Your pixel art is phenomenal, and I just can't believe how detailed you made this draconic general. His hidden glowing markings gave so much pizzazz,, I'm going to really REALLY love drawing him in shadowed areas.
Third Place
the 1500C$ that I have reserved for the third place picks is going to be split between my final favorite entries
