Under a painted sky, does this blue bird fly
in flight he loves to sing, and so he often does take wing

While perched he simply stares, unworried and without care
though while he is sitting there, he prefers to be in a pair

And so while he is waiting for twilight to descend
he can always be found sitting by a friend
