HOWL is a canine-based ARPG with prompts and ideas to help you develop your canines. An open, point-based system gives plenty of options for you and your characters. Want showdogs? A wild pack? Or just a group of dogs with different purposes? All of these are welcome!

Breed Standards
Height: 24-26 inches (male), 22-24 inches (female)
Weight: 55-75 pounds (male), 45-60 pounds (female)

Rules:
» All CS + Oekaki rules apply
» Art and writing must follow HOWL and CS rules
» Give credit to the original artist for the design. Staff's TH's will be linked next to their name for you to credit.
» Official HOWL references must stay on CS, TH and personal websites with proper credits given. A part from this, their offical reference may not be taken offsite.
» You will not be added to the original ref, however a transparent version may be requested.
» There are no limits on how many you can own (Currently)
» Please post your storage thread on the archive! COPPA users can post it on the main thread.
» HOWL canines can be traded, sold and gifted. HOWEVER. Founders may NOT be sold at all, and you must own a canine for 4 weeks before selling them. (They can only be sold for a max of 50c$, unless there is extra art. In which case a trade must be confirmed and passed by myself or WolfTales)
» Users are required to keep their own 'bank' of how many points they have, with links for proof.
» HM's and RU's are up to artist discretion. HM's count for 10 points each.
» Three strikes and you're out basis
» If you do not post on your custom starter's adopt page within one month of them being posted, they will be readopted! (Applies to every dog after #011) (Added 05/08/2020)

Custom Starters: Open

For now, while HOWL is just opening, we are taking custom starters!! You are allowed ONE custom starter. If you sell or trade them, you can not get another. Do NOT repost your form. We have a list of them all! If yours hasn't been claimed it will be.
Your custom starter can have any common genes (as long as they don't clash). If you're unsure if what you want is common, PM myself or WolfTales and we'll let you know!

You do not need to get a custom starter! You can enter for adopts and try to win one!

FAQ:

Does our group need to be realistic? Or (for example) can we have dogs in space or dogs who live like humans?
Thats totally fine! You're welcome to develop your canines however you like. Just make sure to keep things cs-appropriate.

Can we make our own prompts to get points?
No, however, you can submit prompts to be added to the list! They may be accepted or declined, depending on what the prompt is. We will also decide how many points it will gain you c:

Can we have NPC's? What IS an NPC?
An NPC is a non-playable-character - so a character who is not part of the official ARPG. You are welcome to have and develop your own NPC's, as long as they're not the main focus when gaining points!
