- every once and a while- there is a death that the Greater Ones don't plan for.
these lost spirits are cursed to spend entirety wandering the plains of the after life.
sometimes they wander for millenniums, while others disappear
but, even rarer than these wandering spirits, a Great One claims a spirit as their own.
that's where this young elephant finds himself.
dying from some accident at school (a bus crash?)- his spirit became lost
somewhere between a month and a year after his death, the Tree Of Life notices him
she takes him in as her own- the next tree, for lack of better understanding.
as he learns about his new duties and how to be a good Greater One,
his spirit is chipped away to reveal his soul
one day his spirit will have eroded into nothing, leaving his soul to continue learning
theoretically he has many forms, as he grows into a Greater One
he changes. leaves form around his head in some sort of almost-halo
he ages. he grows older and wise- in appearance at least.
he forgets his old life and forgives the Greater Ones for not giving him a home at first.
he loves. he grows plants and teaches orphaned animals how to live.
he guides. he shows other lost spirits places to call home and how to forgive the Greater Ones.
he becomes the new Tree Of Life.
