Hello! While I’m not part of this species, I did create the lines/design so thought I would toss some tips here about working with these bases!

Brush Setting used for Lines

Pencil
Size: 2 (pen pressure on)
Opacity: 255/full amount (pen pressure off)
Scattering: 22 (pen pressure on)
Smoothing: 26

This was done using a tablet and Firefox. To mimic the coloring style I did for the bases: just drop the opacity down some random amount (170ish) add pen pressure and remove smoothing.

Shading Tips

• Shading colors look best as blue, violet, or purple.
  
• Highlight colors are best as brown, red, yellow, or orange for warm designs. Use cool colors like blue for designs with an overall cool base color design.
  
  Example: Mostly brown base design paired with blue shadows and light brown highlights.
• Change the add layer highly to match the main highlight color, it can add a nice effect on certain color schemes.
• Change the line color by picking the darkest color on the design with the shading layers on. Change the line color to this, make sure the line layer is a “multiply” layer. If the color looks too faint or too dark fiddle around with it until the contrast is just right.
