What is a ploof?
Ploofs are creatures of indeterminable origin, and scientists are having trouble placing them into a category. They appear somewhat goatlike, but lack ears, horns, or even a mouth. They're well-known for their soft manes and tails. The most strange thing about ploofs, however, is there is nothing that hints at how they get their energy. Are they even living things?

Ploofs in the wild live in large, tight-knit herds. A wild ploof is hard to domesticate because it will not want to be separated from its kin. The best way to domesticate one is to raise it from a young age. Since their discovery, ploofs have been widely domesticated by animal enthusiasts and pet fanciers alike.

How can I get a ploof?
There will be adopts posted under this drawing that you can try out for. The artist will usually give a specific prompt to follow about the ploof's personality, but there may also be art competitions and raffles. All main adopts are free, but you will be able to buy MYO (make-your-own) slots at some point.

-Ploofs are a closed species and you cannot make your own without permission from paoffy.

-Ploofs can have any variety of colors and markings!

-A ploof cannot be based on a copyrighted character or franchise, such as Steven Universe. It's okay to make ploofs based off of old, public-domain characters though, like Alice in Wonderland. For MYOs, you can make a ploof based off of a character you personally own.

-There's no limit to the amount of ploofs you can own, but it's recommended you make a storage thread for them.

-Do not beg for ploofs or ask if you can make one without a MYO slot.

-Ploofs can be developed in any story or AU you wish.

-If you have ploofs from the old lines, you can't transfer them to the new ones because the species has changed so much and you would have to greatly edit the design. You're free to keep it as a character though.

-You may trade ploofs for art or characters outside of the species, but you can not sell them for any currency. You must own a ploof for two weeks before you can trade it.

-You can make minor edits to a ploof's design with permission from paoffy and the original creator. It should still look similar to the original design! Traits cannot be added, swapped or removed without an item, but may change style.
