he doesn't have a cutie mark because he doesn't have any talents
he doesn't really know how he got the nick in his left ear; he had a wack dream one night featuring Abraham Lincoln (specifically a dog version of Abraham Lincoln in the style of that Pound Puppies reboot) and a talking shrub and when he woke up his ear was bleeding and it was just... there
*Cimolestes was an ancient rat-type creature from the age of the dinosaurs and for the record yes I did absolutely look up "Dinosaur Train mouse" to learn what that character was called
