Heya! First, I'd like to say that I absolutely love your entries so far. Second, as the resident geneticist, I'll add on some notes so that you can understand what to do for future entries! It looks like all you really mixed up here was the tabby/not-tabby. And don't worry about not being good with genetics because it took me
such a long time to compile my notes and even then, things have to be constantly updated!
and even then i still don't understand some things But under here would be the explanation of your black with white kitty!
- Solid black: aa (not-tabby) / BB (black-based) / CC (full color/not-pointed) / DD (not-dilute) / ii (not-silver) / oY or oo (not-red male or female)
- White markings: wsw (<50% white)
- Shorthaired: Ll (shorthair carry longhair)
Similarly, your
second entry is pretty awesome but it would actually be classified as amber and not red! And if you're calling it a tabby (as opposed to simply solid red/ginger), then you need to have at least one tabby gene. I'll show you below.
- Red tabby: AA or Aa (tabby or tabby carry not-tabby) / bb (chocolate-based) / Dd (not-dilute carry dilute) / mcmc (classic tabby) / OO (red female)
- White markings: wsws (>50% white)
Amber (overrides all black-based color): ee
