No one knew back then
What would happen now.
All they knew was what was then.
Everyone might have believed what they heard
Had the duo been more absurd.
Mornings came and went,
And in the mornings, mothers wept.
Their children went to fight
And would not see another night.
The duo had foretold,
Of evils in the folds.
Brave cats from near and far
Answered to the call of war.
