before you try to make a stylized version of cats, I would recommend doing lots of studies of anatomy; use references, there's nothing wrong with using refs! you can learn a lot by doing studies of the muscles and skeletal structure, and then once you have a basic knowledge of these things you'll be able to edit and stylize certain parts of the anatomy to your liking.
tldr: try to learn the rules before you break them, it will really help! I speak from experience <33
