meet Daisy Bean, Blade Bean, and Root Bean, though its better to just call them Beans
they are a genderless plant based character, they go by they and can't speak any sort of human language. they act very similarly to a small child or a parrot, they have some things they love, some things they throw a fit about. the most sentient head is Daisy, the least sentient is Root.
they have a pet snail that does not have a name, but they are excited to see this certain snail every time they see it! they recognize the snail because it has the same pot as them (though the snail's "pot" is just painted on) the snail can be replaced if it dies and Beans wouldn't know the difference as long as it still has the pot pattern.
Beans is always holding up the pot they are in, they can walk around and sorta run, but holding the pot up while they run can be a pain. most of the time the dirt in the pot stays in place, dunno why (maybe a root system?) but the pot has to be held up by the two arm-like vines that Beans has.
Their 'feet' are a dense tanglement of roots, i think they look like fairy shoes though. they aren't sensative and if you were to cut them off beans wont freak out, they may be a little angry because it hinders their locomotion, but the roots can regrow in about a day. Beans has been known to show discomfort when they get damaged, as well as show a change in mood during the seasons (groggy in winter/fall, peppy in spring/summer, etc)
they do need to be watered often, while they can water themselves they dont remember to do so and will more likely dehydrate.
they need to be able to eat through their root system, as well as their mouths- however they seem to share nutrients so just feeding one head is fine. the heads most often eat worms, ants, or flies (worms being the favorite, and Roots being the most enthusiastic about eating) and the roots just consume nutrients through decomposing fruit leftovers, nutrient-rich dirts, or other plant foods. Beans will just 'sit' in/on the root-food for a while, when they get back up they are 'full'



I was originally going to draw a bunch of characters, design them, and sell them out
but I really like beans, so the literal first one I made I just ended up keeping and making a reference for

well, beans can't really talk or anything? they communicate with like, pops and coos and chirrups, but not really talk? So they never named the snail (plus yaknow names are kinda a human thing lol) did you have any ideas? i'm open to them ^U^ but not bob, I know too many bobs

ah thank you! sometimes I really like the stuff I do too ;v; this being one of those times- I was really thinking of gifting this guy away to someone but I realllllyyy wanted to keep them, and I know a couple of characters I made in the past I regreted trading or selling them, so I always have to really think through it ;u; im glad I decided on keeping them tho <3

I still have most of them, just have no energy to run them so i can share them with others. May redesign them at some point though, seeing others making species gives me ideas all the time

hah im in the same boat to be honest x.D I have like... five or six i've been holding onto for a while- possibly to make into an open species, but i'm indecisive XD
