    What are Dal Zakcs?

Dal Zakcs are a canine species, but do not have any relation to the common wolf. Every Zakc has an earring on their left ear that can differentiate between the Zakc. These earrings have no meaning to rank, but are rather a symbol of their Dal bloodline. The Dal bloodline is the lunar side of the Zakc Species, the opposite side, the Taiyo Zakcs are the solar side. The two bloodlines coexist with each other, but are unable to be in the same clan or mix bloodlines together.

Dal Zakcs can range in size from the size of a household chihuahua to the size of the now extinct dire wolf. Their paws are larger than an average canine, ranging 5-6" wide when they are at their larger sizes, but still around 4" at their smallest sizes. The only way the paws can be smaller is through mutations. They always have a tuft of hair on their head, which can be styles, cut, or grown out but never completely shaved off.

They are generally nice creatures, found helping the abandoned children of other species and even rejected children of their own kind. Despite this, if you get on one Zakcs bad side the entire clan will turn on you. they are not afraid to attack anyone who is deemed a threat and will do anything to protect their clan.

Dal Zakcs get their 'lunar' bloodline from their nocturnal lifestyle. While you only see Taiyo Zakcs in the day time, you will only see Dal Zakcs during the night hours.
