Age: 11 months

Breed: Tabby. Orange with brown stripes and belly and paws. Blue and Brown eyes
How he came: Aused to the point of almost death. One leg badly mangled. will always walk with a limp
Temperament: A real momma/pappa's boy. Will use you for protection
How did it go in the introduction room? Tell me what happened: I shuffled nervously in the clean, antiseptic scented room as I waited for the woman who ran the shelter to walk in carrying the small orange and brown kitten I'd seen...the moment I saw his brown and blue eyes I knew I wanted him...and I didn't want him just to have him either but rather so that I'd finally have someone to talk to...yes I talk to animals, I know I'm crazy right? I was snapped out of my thoughts as the woman walked in carrying the kitten, who was shaking like a small leaf in a winter wind. "He's a bit skittish so be careful." The woman said in a hushed voice before setting him down. Almost immediatley he rushed over to me and hid in my lap...though once he realized what he'd done the poor thing just sat there, shaking in a huddled ball. Trying to calm him I slowly eased my hand towards his back and began petting him gently, easing my way upwards so my hand was resting on his head...now a quiet and contempt purr rose from his frail body to fill the room. Finally I turned my attention back to the woman who had brung him in, my eyes silently questioning her. "His name is Tiger...we found him in a parking lot of a gas station...He was very injured and his leg was horribly mangled...that's why he walks with a limp." The woman explained. My heart filling with both anger that someone would treat the kitten in such a way and sadness that he hadn't started his life out better. "Well I'll name him Scrap..." I whispered, the newly named Scrap purring loudly as if in agreement. "Why Scrap?" The woman asked. "Well..because that's what he is...a little...no...my little Scrap of love." I answered back, a warm smile now painted onto my face.
