What is a Ferrechi?
Ferrechi, same plural and singular, are small animals that appear to be a cross between a weasel and a bird. They are named so due to the first specimen made being a cross between a ferret and a chickadee. They are a completely domesticated species, as the first Ferrechi were created using genetic engineering. The scientists were surprised when their creation turned out to be able to reproduce, birthing live young. They are small, about two feet long at most, and have playful, mischevious, active, and intelligent personalities. They are popular among teens and adults, although the bird of prey and parrot hybrids are generally discouraged from being children's pets. They are flighty and skittish, unless pulled from the nest early and raised by humans, in which case they are affectionate and cuddly. Most are able to fly, although it is tiring for them and they usually only take to the air when spooked.
