Bee Fact: Honeybees make out faces the same way we do. They take parts—like eyebrows, lips, and ears—and cobble them together to make out the whole face. It’s called “configular processing,” and it might help computer scientists improve face recognition technology

I just think that's the cutest thing! Especially with bee keepers, the bees will know who their keeper is!

Bee Fact: Bees like caffeine as much as humans! Many other bug species are deterred by caffeine, but bees are the opposite, and are attracted to it!

Bee Fact: According to inclusive fitness theory, organisms can gain fitness not just through increasing their own reproductive output, but also that of close relatives. In evolutionary terms, individuals should help relatives when Cost < Relatedness * Benefit.

Bee Fact: Most of the bees in a hive are female! While yes, there are males (known as "drones"), the males are few and though they can mate with the queen, most never do, as the queen only mates a handful of times during her lifetime. All of the worker bees (and the queen, of course) are female (and infertile).
