Physical Qualities
Krieus Dragons are small, mammalian creatures despite their
reptilian head. With the males of the species reaching only
around 4 feet high, females around 3 1/2, they make perfect
companions for humans. While small in stature, these dragons
are quite strong, even so much to easily overpower a human or
the modern dog. Their head is hairless and often sports horns
or antlers, and a hornless dragon seen as a rarity among the species.
While their head has smooth, tough skin and scaling, a furry
mane sprouts from the back of their necks, and sometimes even
around their throat too. Their feline body is covered in short fur like that
of a big cat's and the only other thick fur resides as a tuft on the tip
of their tail. Krieus use their tails for balance while climbing, though
depending on the region in which they live, you may see one with a
shorter tail or even no tail.
Mating Season
Like most mammals, Krieus will not take on a single mate their entire
lives. Instead, they will choose the strongest and most appealing
candidate to sire their offspring. The courtship doesn't take very long,
just a simple flash of strength and other qualities. Though one may
think they will give birth to eggs because of their draconic qualities,
they actually do not. In a litter there can be around 1-3 cubs.
Diet
Krieus are omnivores, and prefer to eat both fruit and fresh prey.
During dry seasons, they will search for insects to make up for the
lack of food, using their tongue to collect the bugs.
