Just reposting my KYD so I can keep track of it better in my gallery
Atreya was born and raised in the mountains, among craggy rocks and sparse, tough grasslands. The winds blew cold in the winter, but the signs of a storm brewing made her excited. She loved the smell of the rain, the rumble of thunder, and the flashes of light in the sky that lit up the world above her. Her cave was a perfect viewing point, high up and sheltered, overlooking the swamp valley below. During warmer seasons she would make her way down the stony path to these lands, and wade through water and reeds to keep herself cool. She enjoyed the feeling of mud beneath her feet, but not so much when it stuck to parts of her fur. On occasion she could be found sunbathing on flat rocks during an overcast day, or swimming through tepid water to gently warm herself. She was very in tune with the rougher, more unpredictable side of nature, as though she too, like her mountain home, had been carved and moulded by the wind and rain, floods and mudslides. Because she, too, was a thing of wild and untamed beauty, living free, belonging only to herself and the land she called home.
