PLEASE READ THE NEW POST!
- ~~~
i have been on cs quite some time now, and i decided i want a go at another adoptable.
we have some rules, first.
TAKE THE TIME TO READ BOTH PROMPTS AND LOOK AT THE SKETCH, PLEASE!
rules wrote:1. all of tess's rules apply.
2. all of oekaki's rules apply.
3. be kind to each other, please.
4. the three winners will be given prizes, while others participating will be given participation gifts as well.
5. you cannot keep the species if you do not win, since it is based off of my concept and/or prompt, and i wouldn't feel right having something similar to my species. you can however make it an adoptable if you get my permission beforehand.
6. unfinished entries will not receive pets.

alright, on to the contest.
you will be able to choose from the light concept and/or a prompt, depending on what you like better.
>> concept <<
this concept was made by me as a rough draft to see how many were interested in an adoptable of that sort, but please if you choose to go off this concept, do not copy it! i want to see changes to it, but i still want to be able to see something the same. (Please change the tail fins though, they look terrible)
>> prompts <<
1. these creatures dwell in the bottoms of the oceans, with luminescent eyes and markings/patterns on their bodies. they feed on jellyfish, angler fish, sharks, and absorb the heat they get from volcanic cracks in the bottom of the ocean. they have a thick leather scales that serves as armor, that have flecks of glowing toxins that are poisonous to other creatures that may try to harm them. Their stomachs have a thin layer of fur, which traps in heat due to the cold temperature they live in. they have a collar-like tuft of fur that goes around their neck, which they will rub their paws on to create a static electricity that can temporarily stun larger creatures so they can make a quick getaway. they usually have no back legs, but are equipped with a tail used for moving, while their front legs are used for steering. they have a thin body, and their 'paws' are similar to the paws of a wolf, with more spread out fingers and a thumb, which has a longer claw than the rest. their claws and thin and needle like, used to pierce their prey to avoid escaping. they have up to 6 offspring, due to most not surviving to adulthood, and are called 'kits' or 'hatchlings'.( the males and females look the same in this case, but the males have a brighter glow and a thicker muzzle )
2. living near the surface of the water in a warmer climate, these creatures are the bulky and muscular bulldozers of the shore. they have gills and lungs, making them well adapted to either land or water. they hunt a variety of animals, but mostly fish of reefs and the occasional shark or stingray. their paws are large and shaped like a bear's with long, thick claws used for digging. the females are smaller, thinner, and quicker than the males, with less bulk and more of a feminine figure. the males are usually bright in coloration, having beautiful colors to attract potential mates. the males are also equipped with a set of horns, usually dragon like or pointing forward, though they come in several different varieties. these creatures have shiny scales that are on their body, used to reflect light. like their deep-dwelling counterparts, they have no back legs, yet their tails are oddly adapted to slithering on the sand or even gravel. they are heat resistant, with males having a thick neck to support their head while fighting other males. males rely on females to do most of the hunting, since while the females are built for speed and a quick kill, the males are territorial tanks that survey their selected land, or territory, to fend off any intruders. they have up to 2 offspring per year, which are called 'calves' or 'hatchlings'.
