What would they do in a thunderstorm:
The bed covers quaked as another round of thunder occured. "C'mon... Pick up!" He whispered to himself. He was calling his friend, Aliza. He was terrified of thunderstorms, because he got separated from his family and got lost during one. He met Aliza a few weeks after, and have remained friends ever since. On days like these, when thunderstorm would come up, he'd video chat with her until it calmed.
But today was not one of those days.
The lighting struck a pole nearby, knocking out electricity and the internet.
He muttered a silent curse as he goes onto his spotify, looking at what he recently downloaded. He saved and downloaded a few songs from his daily mix folder. Placing his headphones on, he lets his library go on shuffle.
"Often, I am upset... That I cannot fall in love but i guess, this avoids the stress of falling out of it," The song begins.
Versce felt a calming feeling as the song started, the loud rain and heavy winds now sounding like a soft shower in the middle of April.
"Are you, tired of me yet? I'm a little sick right now but i swear; when I'm ready, I will fly us out of here," He starts humming along to the soft melody.
"I'll cut my hair...
To make you stare...
I'll hide my chest and I'll
Figure out a way to get us out of here,"
Versce listened closely to the words in the chorus. They felt... Like they were ment for him. It took him back a few years, back before he did any of the transitioning process. He felt alone during those times, but he always told himself he'd get throuigh it, find a way out of the hellhole he was in at the time.
He never noticed the song was almost over.
"-Get a load of this trainwreck, his hair's a mess and he doesn't know who he is yet; but little do we know the stars welcome him with open arms..."
Before he knew it, the song was on repeat, the hours spent listening to this helping him start to drift off to a soft sleep.
"Time is...
Slowly...
Tracing his face,
But strangely, he
feels at home in this place..."
