Since you're new to CS and it's tools I'd like to explain some tips to work on. I see you doing well once you get a hang of it as you've got a good understanding for color!
- For dapple I love using the
Airbrush. Use both Scattering & Spacing for dapples. You can change the Opacity from time to time, to make some lighter dappling.
- Paint Horses with a lighter layer around the patches meeting white. Do the main/base color as a different layer as white. This makes things easy if the base coat might have other colors. Aight for the lighter layer I take Eraser and bring down Opacity. It depends on your liking, play around with Opacity. Sometimes if you use Spacing/Scattering set low bit noticeable to there being light bumps. I also require you setting the brush size anywhere from 5-8 or so. (spacing 3-8/scattering 40%-70%)
- If you have an art tablet Sketch is an amazing tool to test and play around with, but I normally use Pencil with mouse.
As I said I like that your doing good with color... it's just the big circles in the patches. Please do try playing around, and practice here, but please try and stick with a cover for all entries to stay under. So once do color in from the comp, then just recolor in new versions of your's under your page. Everything will be under your own page. You are even able to send in a ticket and have your entry 2 and 3 moved under entry 1. So instead of "edit" just "color in"
Oh + for Ear fluff please use Pencil to only color the fluff (long hairs) on the ears. Just look at how all mine relate.
