relationship with Irving; Zen and Irving were inseparable best friends.
After their parents introduced them to each other at a very young age, they soon were very close and did everything together. Zen would drag Irving through the playground, playing whatever game they had decided on that day and they both loved each second of it. Their poor parents would find themselves in a predicament every time they had to leave. Zen would make ungodly screeching sounds as he clung on to Irving who did the same thing. Eventually when they got older their parents had an easier solution instead of trying to pry them apart and one of them ended up offering one of them to spend the night.
Those sleepovers were some of the greatest times of Zen's childhood. Staying up late watching movies, playing pretend, and just being with Irving. Whatever it was, he loved being around him and spending the night with him was the most fun he's ever had.
As they grew up together, Zen always had Irving's back. If anyone was being bullying him, Zen would literally put himself in between Irving and his antagonizer. Nothing would stop him from protecting his best friend and seeing how Irving smiled at him after he came to his rescue made everything worth while. Zen would kept himself blushing after seeing him smile, but he didn't think anything of it and went back to playing with Irving.
When Zen and Irving reached high school, Zen had finally realized what was going on. He had feelings for his best friend and he didn't know how to cope with them. Irving would talk to him and when they made eye contact, he went red and looked away from him. He couldn't handle those eyes, they were too much for his heart. Time went on, but it took him many more months to finally come clean and admit his feelings.
It was after school, walking home from school, a block away from their homes. He told him and he saw that smile again on Irving's face and he melted. After the discovery that the feelings were mutual, there was no turning back for them. Though, things at first didn't change much for the two of them, they eventually eased into public displays of affection. The first time they held hands, they both were a mess and they loved it.
When they finally graduated, they moved in together in an apartment. It was small, but it was perfect for the both of them and they loved it. They spent their days on the couch, snuggled up watching Irving's favorite shows that he somehow had dragged Zen into. They truly were inseparable and had no intention of leaving each other's side. Nothing could get Zen to leave Irving. He loved him and would do anything for him, even if that meant putting himself in harm's way.
Anything he could he could do to make Irving happy, he would do it in a heartbeat.
