Story (unlimited words!!): Little bit of my 10 page short story that I've been working on
The sky above was cloudy and a dark ash grey, blocking out the distant winter sun with its giant, heavy mass. The city below was cast in a bleak, dark shadow, and Ivy was below, trudging along the hard pavement of the metropolis. Something icy and wet landed on her nose, and she gazed up, spotting gentle, white specks of snow drifting down from the air. Mystified, the red-pelted canine forgot about her troubles for a brief heartbeat. Grrooβ¦ came the noise of her stomach, demanding to be fed. Looking away from the falling frozen particles, the Irish setter wandered the streets that were slowly becoming colder and wet from the precipitation. The rest of the world seemed to have stopped in time. There were no more people walking around in their huge, thick pelts, and there was only the occasional loudcage that blasted by. Besides that, everything was frozen in time, a monochrome world of dark loneliness. The only light that the world provided was snow. It came in little flurries of wind blowing in Ivyβs face now, making her extremely long trek even harder.
xHaha, you're trembling...
Is it the cold, or just cowardice?
