My first entry, a common halloween themed chowlin. Only edit is common lack of backmane, I decided to focus more on the design rather than edits for this guy. I'm actually super proud of this, I hope others like it as well <3 Critique is always welcome, i'd love to improve my designing skills!

Oh jeez this is such a dream design tbh. I love the colors used, the ghosts just make me so happy and I love the pop of orange in the heart membrane. I personally would love to see the membrane a different shape (not sure what, but a heart seems odd to me??) but I still really love it as-is. Great job, Lark!

Okay, to start out with, kudos to you! I have rarely seen an entry that can use so many different colors and work them all into the same design without any looking out of place, but you succeeded! This design portrays so much about Halloween in one entry, and really does portrays that mysterious magic that hovers only around that one evening. Having the basic undercoat resemble a galaxy really brings out the rest of the design, and I'm so glad you decided to use the indigo color instead of any alternative since the green circles speckling over top of it have an amazing contrast that really does pop. Adding stripes of a darker color to outline the mane of the chowlin is an ingenious idea that adds some depth to the drawing, and the ghosts in the mane and tail are absolutely adorable. Like Nezcroma, I do believe that the membrane being differently shaped would be a significant benefit, and possibly changing it to a darker color would intensify the feelings inspired by this entry? Could I suggest a ghost and the same dark indigo you used on the pelt? Overall, though, this entry is one of my favorites, and I'm sure you'll do great in the competition!

Thanks for the suggestions guys <3 I changed up the membrane a bit, but since it's common the only other shape option I have is a circle.

Wow I hope you get a position this looks amazing and surely I'll adopt them for sure. So far the design is very clean, simple not too complex and great choice for the palette too loving the colors on this one. Good luck further on into the contest though. ;U;
