Theme Song:
Willow Tree March - The Paper Kites

Story:
Written from the perspective of Cedar
This wont be a long tale, as I've never been a Python of many words...then again, I've never needed many words to get my point across.
My story is one of early mornings, cloudy grey skies, and foggy mountain wilderness. My story is one of early morning walks by the lake, treks through the trees at noon, and hikes to the peaks of mountains in the evening. My story, is that of a nomad.

Why a nomad, you may ask. Well, that's a simple answer, I fear stagnation and I seek adventure. After all what is worse than the slow degrading of the mind when one becomes stationary, repeating days over and over without even realizing? And what could be better then wandering where ever one wants to go? True freedom can only be found in the depths of the wilderness, after all.

But my story is not about why I travel so much as it is about where I've been, right? After all in todays world the 'why' is not integral, it is but a side thought cast away for the sake of convenient ignorance. People are so engrossed in the action, the happening, the immediate, that they loose sight of the reasoning behind the action, and then the action looses all meaning and is forgotten sooner then later.

But, even if the majority vote is blind following of action, there are the small numbered few who choose to seek that deeper meaning I so live for, and it is those people who truly make me happy. Those who can look at a painting and see more then just paint on a canvas, I applaud you.

So now we see the end of my little tale, what may you ask is the meaning behind my words? Simply put, My story is not one to tell a tale of action, but of how the mind of a nomad works. My story is not one to confuse, but one to inspire.

Theme Song: Shelter;; by Madeon and Porter Robinson
Story:
This is a personal story of mine from my everyday life. Something that makes me happy is music, and that is why I chose this song because it is the most recent song to touch me. I listened to it with my brother, who is also a huge audiophile (especially with techno music), and we were both in tears after listening to it. Now we both regularly listen to it, often together. Since its such a great song, I thought it'd be wonderful to imply it into a character, because of the rich emotion and depth of story, along with the imagination and the fact that you can put your own thoughts into the story to make it part of you. I hope you enjoy this song as much as my brother and I did.

    Story:
I don't really know what to write that would define as happy and not be… cheesy. Though, the second thing that came to mind [ the first thing isn't very cs-appropriate ] was me doing volunteering work…? Yeah.

I'm a volunteer. I help at orphan homes, do stuff for charity, give free things to the needy, stuff like that. I'm not a very social guy but I know how to read and understand people, probably since I'm paranoid of what people think of me, and, well, when those people that I helped thanked me- it's… really amazing. Their words are genuine and their faces would beam with happiness, it's a truly great sight and would warm the coldest heart. Especially the children- I really don't like children but they were so happy that we helped them. They jumped around and I remember a shy little girl approached me and gave me candy, she said thank you before running away.

Just a few months ago, me and my volunteering group visited the house of an old woman that lives alone. Her children doesn't visit her, her husband passed away and her house is old-fashioned. I live in Malaysia, wood houses are not uncommon but hers' is just like a trip to the past. She barely lives by selling fritters, cakes, etc and some money from her children that rarely visits [that's what she told me]. Well, we helped clean her house, kept her company, talked to her and gave her some things that we had brought ourselves and, uh, she cried. She was moved by our kindness and she was really sweet aswell. She complimented us, told us stories, it's just so- heartwarming. I was mildly depressed [ I don't take medicines, too poor ] and listening to her just lighten up my mood and got me thinking- I gave this woman hope and a will to live and that just blowed my mind. I have a low self esteem and to know I changed someone's life- it warms my heart and I just can't describe it in words. I felt so happy to help others- after all, that's what volunteering is all about. Helping others. It's truly great.
