nursery!!!
briffons wrote:The short answer: Briffons, or Briffs for short, are quadrupedal birds! These
mysterious creatures were first discovered on a desolate island, where their
ancestors, huge, colorful birds, had presumably washed ashore thousands of
years ago. Because there were no natural predators to pick off the birds, they
thrived, loosing their need for flight. Therefore, instead of wings, they have
well-developed front legs, which resemble the legs of quadrupedal mammals
such as dogs or cats. They also have a long, feathery tail. This tail is decorated
with a large bow. These bows are very important to Briffon culture, as these
bows are a physical representation of the Briff's personality. The Briff chooses
their own bow, and decorates it however they wish.
This is the nursery! Here, Briffons can breed!
Briffons can breed regardless of the gender of the two parents. Female/female couples, male/male couples, and female/male couples, as well as couples where one or both parents fall outside of the gender binary, are accepted here. Briffons cannot breed more than once per three months. It also takes three months for the baby Briffon to grow. Once the baby is fully-grown, its design can be transferred to the adult lines and it will be allowed to breed. Additionally, Briffons breed in "clutches" of "pups," which can contain up to four pups.
In addition to breeding, orphan Briffs may also be posted here! Artists may design Briffs on the baby lines rather than the adult lines. Keep an eye out for signs that say "adopt me!"
