The short answer: Briffons, or Briffs for short, are quadrupedal birds! These
mysterious creatures were first discovered on a desolate island, where their
ancestors, huge, colorful birds, had presumably washed ashore thousands of
years ago. Because there were no natural predators to pick off the birds, they
thrived, loosing their need for flight. Therefore, instead of wings, they have
well-developed front legs, which resemble the legs of quadrupedal mammals
such as dogs or cats. They also have a long, feathery tail. This tail is decorated
with a large bow. These bows are very important to Briffon culture, as these
bows are a physical representation of the Briff's personality. The Briff chooses
their own bow, and decorates it however they wish.
First, check to see if any Briffs are up for adoption! Then, participate in a
competition decided by the artist in order to determine who should get that
Briff. If no Briffs are up for adoption, check the nursery.

Sorry about this, but I need to set a few guidelines to ensure that this is fair!
• Only one adoption per fortnight!! This does not include nursery adoptions
• Don't try to bribe the artist to win the competition; we'll just take the bribe and judge fairly anyway
• Trading and gifting are allowed with the permission of the artist
• Please do not harass staff for customs! Certain events may provide you with the opportunity to earn a custom.
• Artists may make up to three customs; giving one away frees up a spot for the artist to make a new custom
• As the creator of the species, I have the right to create new rules at any time as I see fit.
• As the creator of the species, I also have the right to ban you from adopting if I see fit.
