About the breed wrote:Connemara ponies are known worldwide for their gentle, kind disposition and their easygoing personalities. They are celebrated greatly by children, many times and have been known to make excellent showing ponies for peoples of every size. They exist in a small median of heights, ranging from 12.0Hh-14.3Hh, but are also very sturdy and can hold a fit adult with ease.. The original line of OHF Connemara ponies dates back to some of the first original ponies in Ireland many thousands of years ago.. OHF Connemara ponies are STRICTLY ridden as english ponies, with no exceptions. The breed is not gaited, and cannot ever be. They can come in almost any color, pattern or any markings, but dunalino and grulla of any variation is not recognized through the breed, and will always be absent.
