Feu Kettu , a sub-species of kitsune , are fire-wielding creatures of high nobility and elegance. . Their ancestry can be traced back to the kitsune, the nine-tailed foxes of japanese lore. They came into existence after the cross-breeding of a kitsune and a unknown species of fox. Feu Kettu still retain the fire-weilding abilities of the kitsune and their long flowing whiskers, as well as their snow-leopard or larger size , but the modern-day Feu Kettu only has one tail , and candles only on the tail and whiskers. After having discovered them off the coast of japan and studying current research and genetic testing , we have guessed that the original Feu Kettu's had a candle on each of their ankles, and along their back , along with fox fire on stones that surrounded the head of the Feu Kettu in the shape of a circle. As of more research done , we have discovered quite a bit about the species , even though they have only recently been discovered. Feu kettu can weigh anywhere from one-hundred, to two-hundred-fifty lbs , and can be anywhere from two to four feet tall , as well as anywhere from three to four feet from their head to their rump. Their diet consists of anything they manage to catch- though as a last resort they will eat plants , but they prefer meat. As for offspring , Feu kettu only ever have one forever-partner , not changing their partner throughout their life , and can breed up to three times throughout their lives. There is commonly only two pups in a litter , but their will be the occasional three to four. Pups reach teen-hood at the age of one year , reaching adult hood at two years.

Feu Kettu were discovered on the island of Niara , which has been split into four regions based on climate.
The Sahara region is the area of the island that is made up of deserts . It consists of one large desert, three oasis's , and the crown of flames. The crown of flames is much like the ring of fire , only with three extra volcanoes on the exterior of the ring.Then There is the Plains region of the island , which consists of several rivers , forests, and many feilds of wild-flowers. The most noticeable feature of the region is the redwood tree smack in the center of the region.
Next is the Tropical region of the island-consisting of jungles, rivers , and waterfalls. The 50 ft waterfall is the most recognizable feature of the area.
Finally you have the Coastal region of the island , consisting of many fresh-water lakes and salt-water peninsulas. Their is a small island in the center of the largest lake in the area , and is the most recognizable feature.


Just as their are four regions in the island , there are four clans of Feu Kettu.
Firstly is the Pyro' flara clan , located in the sahara region of the island. Feu Kettu here live on the sides of the volcanoes in the crown of flames, the highest ranking sleeping on the craters of the volanoes, the lowest ranking living at the base of the volcanoes. Feu kettu here hunt at night , and have the ability to read minds. Secondly is the Ventus' aura clan , located in the plains region. These feu kettu live in the flowery feilds of the region- the highest ranking sleeping below the great redwood tree, the lowest on the edge of the feilds. This clan hunts during the day , and have the ability to see peices of the past at will. Next is the Fauna' ria clan , in which is located in the tropical region of the island. Here the feu kettu live in the jungle trees. The highest ranking sleeping in the canopy, the lowest on the jungle floor. They hunt at night , and have great medical skills, knowing many uses for the islands flora, (plants).
Finally is the Oceanus clan, located in the coastal region of the island. They live among the freshwater lakes and the saltwater peninsulas . The highest ranking sleep on the island in the middle of the largest lake- only accesible at certian hours of the day , the lowest ranking living furthest from the water. They hunt during the day , and can move small objects with mere willpower.
