Aikons, or as they tend to go by as Aiks, are a small, carnivorous species.Their
anatomy, while closest to that of a canine, is a hybrid of canines, snakes, deer,
and dragons, these little creatures stand at hip height of a 6 foot(182.9 cm)
human being, with females usually being smaller than males. They have very short
fur, not counting the their manes/hair and their tails, therefore Aiks are commonly
found in dry, rocky, sunny places where they can stay warm and sun themselves on
rocks. Like snakes, they're cold-blooded and need the heat to survive. Aiks do not
hibernate however, and do migrate if needed. Considering most live around mountain
reliant deserts, migration is a rare sight to behold.

Anatomy wise, they resemble canines
mainly, however do have their deer and
snake attributes. Their feet resemble a
mix between a deer's cloven hoof and a
canines paw, and their noses are strictly
deer based and are just as sensitive. Some
Aiks can grow horns to protect their mates
and/or young fawns from danger. The snake
shows very obviously in their snake-like
tails and tongues. Females display their slight
dragon attributes with the pouch on their
stomachs, meant for carrying around newly
hatched offspring. If you've already noted,
Aikons do not open their eyes until mating
season comes around, which they use the
colors of their eyes to impress suitors.
Young Aiks are hatched in nests of sand and
soon moved to their mother's pouch until
they're big enough to walk around and hunt
on their own. Prey for Aiks will consist of
really any small animals, such as hares, mice,
and even snakes if they can get them.

Typical Breed Traits;
---➛ Tails, eyes, and tongue always have brighter, unnatural colors at the very least.
---➛ Females are smaller
---➛ All hatchling Aikons have spots, much like foals. These spots are always a bright color and will vanish over time.
---➛ Aiks open their eyes only during mating season.
---➛ There are many different traits, such as long fur and longer manes, and the like
Terminology;
---➛ Male is a buck
---➛ Female is a doe
---➛ Newly-hatched is a hatchling
---➛ Once they're big and strong enough to leave their mothers pouch, the offspring are called fawns until all their 'fawn spots' have left.
---➛ Fawns are rarely given a gender/sex until adulthood, however they DO have them when they hatch. They're all just called fawns, rather than being called fillies and colts like horses.
