xxxxSean remembers the television, an old tube telly. A large white and tan patched scottish terrier using his thigh as a pillow, and his best friend, Risk sitting next to him. The tube was plastered with sunday morning cartoons, and both boys had bowls of Trix in their laps. It was more or less a ritual, and a favorite among the two kids. Risk massaged Bingo, the terrier's velvety ears, while Sean stroked his back, other hand scooping cereal into his grinning, unevenly toothed mouth.

Clay was sleeping in the shade of a old oak tree and his little sister was curled up next to him. It was the middle of summer. Clay little sister had worn him out with all of the games that they played earlier that day. It was one of the rare times that Clay got to play with his sister and when she was quite too. However that was only when she was asleep. Clay was happy for the little peace that they had.
