I bought these guys from cole!
I'm not on cS much these days, but i'll be TRYING to post adopts here too. Most adopts will probably be posted on DA- but i know these guys were born here on CS- and thus i'll try to include it when i'm able as well!
There will be free-only adopts posted under here! I will be revamping their lore and anatomy traits.
WIP for now as i have to work tonight, i'll get to that soon.

Species info!

Sauron's are creatures native to South America's thick jungles. They are mammals most closely related physically to felines, but were selectively bred over thousands of years by the native peoples to be hunters, skilled in the tricky rainforest terrain. They are omnivores, though prefer meat, around the size of a gazelle. Their long legs allow long leaps over the forest undergrowth,and their short-almost nonexistant fur is slick and waterproof to ward off the humid atmosphere. They were recently brought from the jungle and reintroduced to civilization. They are highly intelligent and quite friendly as long as they aren't hungry- so it was natural that they adapted well to other species and groups.

Physical traits;;
They are most similar to a cat, though with longer legs and a more flexible tail. Their tails are not strong enough to pick things up more than around 10 lbs, but they can use them prehensile to an extent. Their muzzles are long, for digging through tree roots to catch prey, and in face structure- they are more similar to a dog than cat.However their habits and genetics are not. Their sense of smell isn't particularly fantastic- but their eyesight is phenomenal. A blind Sauron would be very hard pressed to survive. Their hearing is their second best asset- though not remarkable.
Though more related to cats- they are not considered feline. They are marked in their own genus, of which there is no other species. Bred as hunters, centuries of domestication has made them quite docile and trainable.
They may range in size from that of a typical german shepherd, to that of a Clydesdale horse, The larger ones may be ridden, and used as work animals.
Social interactions;;
Since they are domesticated to a large extent, they thrive in a group, rather than solitary. They may travel as a loner for a time- but generally they stick together in groups and form primitive 'societies' with a loosely oriented alpha in charge.
They aren't typically territorial, but they will very easily get competitive over food.

Lore traits;;
Though created through selective breeding, Saurons were originally the guardians of Kuélap in Peru. The peoples at the time believed their creation and extremely expedited evolution was the result of the influence of a protective god.Scientists also suggest strange magnetic fields within the area allowing for such mutated genes. As Kuélap was a walled fortress, Saurons were creatures capable of traversing outside these walls to bring goods and food to their masters. Tribes of other peoples declared them gods-or strange mysterious creatures that were to be feared. This was quite validated at the time- as Saurons were occasionally used in vicious raids against the neighboring people. However, they were adopted by another group, and those ones were bred to be mellow and more 'human-friendly'. Once Kuélap fell as a result of colonization and explorers, the saurons raised by the forest tribes became the dominant subspecies of their race.

Please read all rules! These are important to helping manage the species and keep them running nice and smooth! If you have a question,comment,suggestion, or concern- Feel 100% free to message me and ask!
General species rules;;

-Don't steal the species/make your own! I'm not gonna attack you for making something similar- but don't claim your character is a Sauron, just use some common sense and courtesy,please.
-There is NO limit to the amount of saurons you may own.
-Do not revamp or change your Saurons design without permission and approval! I'll probably allow it as long as its not drastic. Adding accessories is perfectly fine and you dont need to ask for that.
-You may change your Sauron to another species with permission. They will not be able to participate in Sauron events
-Do not harass anyone, whether they be staff or not. Respect others and they'll respect you!
-Do not guilt trip the judge/winner of a comp please! Its super frustrating. If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all.
-I reserve the right to hand out warnings,bans,ect if you do not behave and are consistently causing trouble. Though this is very unlikely- I'm super laid back! I'm always happy to listen to your suggestions and answer questions.
-I also reserve the right to revoke your saurons and put them up for readoption if you CONSISTENTLY break rules,threaten staff, or steal Saurons. I will NEVER do this without a good reason!
-You may not use a Sauron as your fursona.

Breeding rules;;

-You may not breed your Sauron except on the designated thread/ journal when I get it up.
-Saurons generally mate for life, but some may stay single and have multiple partners. This is not an excuse to breed your saurons with just anyone- to breed non-mate saurons, you'll have to type a story explanation as to why.
-Saurons may breed every 3 months. Babies will grow after 2.
-Saurons may breed 3 times.
-do not harass the other owner for a baby from a breeding. Do not steal a baby that is not yours.
-You MAY co-own babies. But I am not responsible for any trouble that may arise due to this
-Any gender couples CAN breed. Breeding siblings/related saurons will depend on the artist.

Trading/reselling rules

-MUST notify me of any changes in ownership
-Saurons MAY be sold and traded. HOWEVER- you may NOT sell a Sauron that you did not pay for(from a free adopt). I may allow it if the sauron has a lot of art, but you must check with me first.
-You may NOT sell a sauron for more than you bought it for! Unless it has extra art.
-You may NOT sell a sauron from a free breeding.
-You may not sell or trade breeding slots for your Sauron.
-You may not trade or sell a baby from a breeding that you have not owned for a month
-you MAY co-own a sauron. However, I am not responsible for any conflict between owners
