The frosty winds forced Avery to seek shelter inside the closest building he could find. Without hesitation he scurried into the first building he saw, a small store. Immeaditly, the smell of old books hit his nose. He looked around, he had walked into a thrift store. "Might as well look around while I warm up" he thought to himself. He browsed through clothing wracks, eyeballing ugly sweaters and sparing a glance at dusty jeans. He walked deeper into the store, not quite warm yet, there was a sign that said "Scarves 1/2 off!!". Thinking he could use a scarf when he had to face the cold, he looked through the wrack, picking up a black and blue checkered scarf. "$4.00... That would make this $2.00. I suppose I'll buy it." He said with a small smile. He brought it to the cashier and checked out, before wrapping it snugly around his neck. When his paws were warm, he walked out of the store shoulders back and chin held high, proud he had just made an adult decision.

how they got their scarf ;; I was walking down the street when I saw the scarf in the window of a store and I had immediately fell in love with it. I had walked into the store to buy it when I got a closer look at it and decided it wasn't as pretty as when I first saw it and began browsing the store for another scarf. When I didn't find one that seem to fit me I exited the store only to be met with a cold gust of wind. I went back outside because my face was already cold and with one look back at that scarf I thought I had no choice but to buy since it seem to fit me. Now I actually love this scarf and I will keep it forever even if it's almost in tatters.

It was cold, so very cold. Snow was falling and the wind was blowing. Everyone was inside staying warm and cozy. One little Kersie was alone. Sitting in a cardboard box cold and afraid. He had lived on his own since birth and was used to the cold, but this snowy night was the worste he had ever seen. He would ask for shealter or something warm but people would ignore him. One little giurl spotted him out of the corner of her eye. She went over to him and said "I'm sorry, but I dont have any food I can give you but here." She takes her royal blue scarf off of her neck and places it on the young Kersie and says "You can have my scarf to stay warm.....I wish you luck." With a smile the girl ran off. And that is how Ren got his scarf.
