J-J has produced a litter of 6! Im impressed, she should be given extra attention for the next month or so after the kittens are gone.
I have been observing the young kittens for a while, they are probably about ready to leave their mother, I have some notes on the kittens, referring to them with numbers rather then names as I do not wish to create an emotional attachment to any too soon.
1.
The first kitten has a noted abnormality in markings, this kitten is male and his markings span over the whole back half of his body, as well as his two front paws, and his face.
2.
Number 2 is female, she is a very healthy young specimen and I believe she will grow up strong and healthy if provided with correct care. Her markings as her two front paws, her back paws, and a stripe running down from her nose to her tail, with various V shaped patterns flowing out from the stripe. This is rather abnormal, I researched the parents family tree and this marking doesn't seem to be on any of the ancestors.
3.
Number 3 is male, he has shown moderately aggressive behaviour to his siblings recently, I am led to believe he may be a bit of a handful when being raised, his markings are similar to that of his father spare the facial markings, brows and chin/lower face markings are usual, although the brow markings are a mystery as none of the ancestors had this.
4.
Healthy kitten, looks fairly passive, sometimes a bit far away, takes a while to focus on something, I think she may have partial blindness - will need to take her to the vets to check her out.
-Took her to the vets, she is completely colourblind and can only see shades, this is unfortunate but with the right care and nutrition she can enjoy life as much as any of her siblings. Markings are the large spots running down her back, her muzzle, and all her paws spare the back right paw.
5.
Healthy young kitten, nothing much to say, stripe marking traced back to grandparents, no other markings, male.
6.
Now, I saw this kitten and I am extremely confused, there must have been a passive gene in the fathers side from an extremely distant relative for lighter fur, colour mixed markings are very interesting, I have spent a lot of time with this female and she appears to be healthy, although she may have an eating disorder, it takes a while to get her to start eating and the slightest thing can distract her from her food. I should probably hold on to her a while after her siblings are gone, just to be sure that she is ok...
On further observation I am led to believe that the majority of these kittens will keep the same basic markings, however they may develop more distinctive facial markings, I have no way to predict this though.
