I use thick lines to start with, then go back with the eraser tool and narrow the ends down so that they're sharp

The settings were actually real simple, I don't tend to do any thing fancy for my sketches ^^

I used Pencil at sizes 16, 7, and 4 with everything at the default setting : round hard edge, opacity at 255, color at 100%, spacing at 5%

For Pen I bumped the opacity up from 128 to 255 and used size 2 : round hard edge, color at 100%, spacing at 5%

I had the normal Eraser at its default settings as well but adjusted the size to match the space available when I worked out the details
