Just keep adopting pets and trading some new pets are on peoples wish list and they will overpay ( if they say they will! ) also there will be the summer event and some adoptable pets there might become rare also you might want to open up a trading center with a name that will stand out so people will click on it and trade with you
Hope I helped with your problem
Feel free to pm me if you have another problem
This information seems rather... misleading.
Don't ever count on someone to overpay in a trade unless they explicitly say so. Just try to trade fairly and you can get more, and different, pets.
Remember to adopt new pets every month! While at first it may not seem like you have many, eventually you'll have a lot. There are events on CS as well, the major ones consisting of Christmas, Easter, Halloween, and the upcoming summer event (which should be here in approximately two weeks, if it is following the schedule of past events). Occasionally the
Pound opens up, and you can adopt a pet from there too (be warned, you can only adopt one pet every 24 hours).
Another easy way to get free pets is through
this forum. Many users are giving away free pets here. Make sure to follow their rules while adopting from them, though.
If you have C$ (which can be obtained through trading or by buying it
here, you can buy the bimonthly store pets from
these pages. The current store pets will be there until September, but you can always trade for them later. Store pets are usually very rare, but can be rare as well.
Rares also can often come from events, such as the upcoming summer event, although many pets from these events will be uncommon as well. Christmas doesn't usually give any rare pets though — most Christmas pets are common or uncommon.
If you wait long enough (at least 4 years) your first pets will become rarer as well. Pets get rarer over time — this is why many 2009 pets, who were common/uncommon once, are rare now.
