Welcome to Cloudweaver Adopts!

Cloudweaver's are cat sheep hybrids that help ventilate good dreams to children in the world, while also gaining energy from the dreams. Their tails are literal dream catcher's and they usually have two tails. One dream catcher is for the good dreams while the other is for the bad dreams. A CW's main diet consists of sweet, soft pastries; such as angel cake. They have no teeth, and are very gentle creatures. They are very scared in nature and will emit cloud puffs from either their head to the neck, these clouds contain particles which makes anything around it sleepy or calm. The only thing that is able to withstand this are other CW's and the CW's mortal enemy; the Nightweaver. Can you tame a Cloudweaver?

Rules

- You are to respect the staff, if staff are appearing rude or biased then report to Swiftalu immediately via PM.
- Abide Tess's rules
- Do not ask to be staff, Swiftalu will decide when staff is needed
- Do not whine or beg for a custom, these are only rewarded to staff
- Do not complain about losing a CW, not finding a great item, etc. Hate on here is not tolerable.
- Making a copy of the designs here will not be tolerated (Unless it is still a Cloudweaver!)
- Mini-modding is fine (for now), but please remember to give out the correct information. If you are unsure then do not answer.
- The amount of Cloudweaver's you can have is 5
- You are not allowed to trade or resell your Cloudweaver
- You are not allowed to change the species of the Cloudweaver design
- Cloudweaver's may only have 1 mate
- Spamming on the thread is not allowed
- No passive aggressive posts please and remember to respect all members!

Basic Anatomy of a Cloudweaver


From a far

Cloudeweaver's have the facial appearance of a cat and a rabbit-like nose to match. They are keen in scent, eyesight and hearing (Hearing being their strongest trait). Cloudweaver's never have short fur or a nose that isn't like a rabbits.


Up close

Each tail a Cloudweaver has is wrapped in a special string that does not fall down when the tail relaxes and attracts dreams. There are 3 different patterns the dream catcher can come in, each being handmade by the Cloudweaver.


Messy string pattern

The messy string pattern shows that the Cloudweaver struggles in weaving.


Crosshatch string pattern

The crosshatch pattern means that the Cloudweaver is an average weaver.


Diamond string pattern

The last string pattern, diamond, shows that the Cloudweaver is skillful at weaving.

Cloudweaver's that have a messy string pattern are said to give off dreams full of fantasy and imagination while Cloudweaver's with a diamond string pattern are said to give off serene and calming dreams, staying true to realism with some elements of fantasy. Crosshatch string pattern Cloudweaver's give off dreams in between the two other string patterns.

Cloudweaver's lastly have puffclouds coming from their fur, this is because their fur contains these particles from when they were newborns. The puffclouds come from the top of their head down to their neck (Like a horse mane). Cloudweaver's never have no puffclouds coming out of their fur since this can put them in serious danger, because the puffclouds carry the calming powder they produce.

A Cloudweaver's size is quite small, roughly the size of a domestic cat (Though a tad bit smaller).


Lore

It is once said that long ago many people had nightmares and often were troubled by these dreams, as back then it was a sign of a bad omen. Nightweaver's would roam the planet bringing these dreams that people had dreaded so much, although they were never seen so people assumed it was their own actions. In their own greed, Nightweaver's brought about countless dreams of war and how this was their only hope, making people believe this is what they had to do in order to stop the nightmare's from continuing. This war was named the Nebula war (Cloud war).

The fighting continued for many weeks. People would often pray for safety and offer sweet and soft foods, symbolizing good fortune and good luck to them. These prayers would reach the clouds that blanketed over the Earth and eventually create the first Cloudweaver. One day, a small figure had appeared in the middle of the war and separated the fighting by emitting the calming powder and putting those surrounding it to sleep, bringing good dreams and ending the war.

Since then, Cloudweaver's have fought off Nightweaver's to help prevent bad dreams from reaching others.

It is unknown how Nightweaver's were first created, but it has been said that they had come into creation by feeding off people's negative emotions, such as greed.

Baby Cloudweaver

You now have a fresh baby to interact with in order to grow. Unlike most adopts which require you to wait a certain amount of time, there is a weekly event help that allows your Cloudweaver to grow. The event will be explained later on, but now your Cloudweaver has to go through 5 levels before growing into an adult. The only way to level up is through experience, which is where the event will come in.

Physical appearances of a baby include them not having a tail. A baby Cloudweaver also hasn't fully developed any cloud puffs, but still contain the particles in their fur. The cloud they sleep on is the color their cloudpuff will be when they grow up.

Since your Cloudweaver has reached the maximum level (5) there isn't really any interaction you can do with them now sadly. :c

Total EXP needed - 10,000

1 - Needs 1,000 EXP to get to lvl 2 (Defeat 4 Nightweaver's)
2 - Needs 2,000 EXP to get to lvl 3 (Defeat 8 Nightweaver's)
3 - Needs 3,250 EXP to get to lvl 4 (Defeat 13 Nightweaver's)
4 - Needs 3,750 EXP to get to lvl 5 (Defeat 15 Nightweaver's)

What are Nightweavers?

Nightweaver's are the arch enemies for Cloudweaver's. Instead of spreading good dreams, the feed on them and corrupt them into nightmares. Despite a Cloudweaver's gentle nature, they fight the Nightweaver's in order to protect the dreams.

A Nightweaver's appearance is similar to a Cloudweaver's.

Nightweaver's have a zig zag tail instead of a smooth one and the dream catcher that would be weaved into the tail is broken up for them. The eyes for a Nightweaver is glowing white and where a Cloudweaver would emit cloud puffs, the Nightweaver emits black smoke. Nightweaver's also always have dark colors, unlike a Cloudweaver's wide variations towards colors.

Nightweaver Scavenger Hunt Event

Please note: This event is closed until I am able to set it up, I appreciate your patience!

Every Saturday (In the US), Nightweaver's are hidden in posts to PM and challenge. This is a chance based game, where there is a 50% chance you can defeat it or lose to it. If you defeat it, then you gain 250 EXP points and the Nightweaver disappears, losing means the Nightweaver stays until another user challenges it and defeats it. You are given 5 go's to challenge Nightweaver's and try to get rid of them, to find them and challenge them, simply look for art of them in a staff member's post and PM that staff member, quoting the post that has the Nightweaver. Make sure to state which Cloudweaver you are using!

There is a small chance of an item drop to happen when you defeat a Nightweaver.

Rules

- Key searching words is not allowed, doing so can get you temporarily banned from scavenger hunting. Continuing to do so could risk causing you to get your Cloudweaver's revoked and getting banned.
- Play fair! You can't PM one staff member 5 times and another one 5 times, this is not allowed
- Poor sportsmanship towards the game could lead to warning, please remember this is a chance based game
- You may only PM finding 1 Nightweaver at a time until replied to, multiple PMs without a reply will be ignored.
