What About Breeding?
Breeding is easy and fairly lax. There are a few rules you will be expected to follow however, and a few facts your should be aware of. To breed, PM me with this forum properly filled out:
- You must have a male and a female to breed. Same genders cannot breed.
- You can breed other players dogs, but you must have screenshots of the permission slips.
- Males may breed once a week. Females may breed once a month.
- Breeding is not a quick process. Pups will grow over time, and will require different things at each stages.
- Once your breeding has been accepted, your dog will give birth in one to two days.
- When the pups are born, they will have very little coloration and their eyes will be closed. You may choose to name them now or not.
- The pups eyes will open in two to four days, and you will see more distinct patterns and be able to see their motor skills improving. At this point you must choose names for your pups.
- Before the pups are grown, you should have decided what you will be doing with them. You can keep as many pups from the litter as you want, or you can place all of them up for adoption. It is entirely up to you.
- The pups will be fully grown in about a week. It is then that they can begin training, racing, and breeding.
- Please note, because this is a mixed breed dog, the pups will never look exactly like the parents. They have a much larger gene pool for me to pick traits from, so each pup will be made unique from its litter mates (with the exception of twins.)
Paint smudges are just one of the many ways a breeder uses to identify newborn puppies. In litters in which the pups have very similar traits, it can be hard to differentiate them, so they will be called by their paint colors until more of their personalities and coat patterns come through.
You may post stud/lease forums on this post!
