Cool story.

This is MY VERSION of the nightfury, and they have a series of spine-like spike across their back which in HTTYD 2 break apart and allow maneuverability, this lineart is OLD and therefor i was noobish with my Tablet so they appear spiky rather then a dull spine.

Dont like it? Well dont color it in cause im not fixing it.
Ive seen the Movie multiple time i know what a Fury looks like.

So yes in the way they do have spikes, they arent those sharp ones like a nadder or nightmare has but dull and are meant for flying rather defensively, its just that I was new at my tablet and was lazy when making the spines.

A example of a FIN is the secondary flap on the nightfuries sides below the main set of wings, or its TAIL.

In the movie the Nightfury tail tail is fragile and the membrane cartilage, aka the lines in the muscle of the fin, are sfar to thin in my opinion they would become thicker as they meet the tail.

BTW their not spikes on the tail its actually the cartilage that just become thicker as it meets the tail.

Again dont like my nightfury design then please dont color it in, I made these lines editable for people to have fun with them, not to be criticized by the way I draw them. Thank you.
