Orakits are a newly discovered species. They are found by the shore of one lake and in one forest. They are quite small; a little bigger than a domestic cat. They weight about 7 - 8 kilograms and their tails are almost the length of their bodies. They live for about 20 - 25 years. Orakits are omnivores, often eating anything they can catch, like birds and fish. There are hardly any distinuishing features between males and females, except that female Orakits have larger ears. When Orakits encounter humans they are generally friendly, but quite shy and usally run away before anyone can get close to them. If a human trys to capture them, they will become very aggressive. The only way a person can get close to them is if an Orakit decides to 'adopt' a human. Each Orakit wears a necklace with a gem on it. Orakits can use their gems to see a little way into the future and their gems' colour corosopond to the type of future they can see.

Lake Orakits are more common and can be any colour. They also have a
fairly equal gender balence. The gems of Lake Orakits are more commonly
golden, green, magenta and red.

Forest Orakits are usally darker, and always have some brown/green on
them. They are almost exclusively male, but females always have either
purple or red gems.
