username by me wrote:hello, so I redlined a drawing for someone else here with a youth cat and dog. The description has some anatomy tips on cats, dogs, and the differences between them. I wanted to redline this, but I don't have a computer with java at the moment. (hence the link). Note that the cat and dog on that page were done with a tablet, however I did use trackpad for about a year before I switched. I tried mouse once, and I found trackpad to be much easier because you can move your finger to draw and not your whole hand. If you do have a trackpad on your computer, I would suggest trying it out if you have not already to see which you like better. I'm sorry I can't give you more tips for a mouse. A general tip would be to always, always sketch before you line. When I used trackpad, I would sketch in red with the pen tool, then once I had gotten the pose correct, I would lower the opacity of the whole layer then make a new layer to line. I also liked to make large sections of the body using the curved line tool, then go back and add the fluff as I have found it easier to be precise with smaller areas rather than larger ones.
