Now don't take this the wrong way, but I think the cutie mark should be changed.
Why? Well if this pony's talent is magic, shouldn't the cutie mark be about magic too?

I might be changing it later but for now this kinda represents her.

Bassically the golden heart necklace is magical and helps her with magic [She is weaker then all the other ponies in her class], and so the design is her Cutie Mark.

Not sure if thats Mary-Sue though. The idea just kinda came to me :/
